We champion local ingredients using ale from the St Austell Brewery and honey from the Fowey Valley. This solid shampoo will nourish and add shine to dull or dry hair. It’s nutrient-rich formula is enriched with nourishing Cocoa butter and we have added soothing infusions of Calendula and hops. The proteins from the malt and hops helps nourish and strengthen dried out damaged hair. The rich formulation means it will lather beautifully, even in hard water. We use a blend of Sweet Orange and Grapefruit to create a gently uplifting scent for this solid shampoo bar.
We are working hard to become plastic-free. Therefore we have packaged our Shampoo Bars in recyclable cardboard boxes. As a result, this means one less plastic bottle in the bathroom!
Handmade with care using 100% natural, plant-based ingredients.

Coconut Oil: We have formulated a different base from our normal soap bars using a high percentage of coconut oil to give this soap a wonderfully rich, ready lather. It also means the soap will stay firm and solid in hot climates.
Olive Oil: Used as the basis for the best soaps for millennia, it contains antioxidants like Vitamins A and E that help repair and renew damaged skin.
Shea Butter: Extracted from the nut of the Mangifolia trees which grow wild in the African Savannah, this contains several fatty acids which help to retain the skin’s moisture and elasticity.
Sea Buckthorn Oil: A very rich source of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamins A, C and E. It also has an antibacterial action which inhibits the growth of staphylococci and other bacteria.
Lemongrass essential oil: We have added this to give a gently uplifting scent.
Tea Tree essential oil: This has been used for centuries as a powerful immune system stimulant. It is antiseptic and helps to sort out viral, bacterial and fungal infections.
Aloe Vera: This has been used in the Mediterranean region for thousands of years and we have added it for its calming and soothing properties.
Kaolin: We use Cornish white clay mined locally to help draw impurities and oil out of the skin. It also helps the razor to slide over the skin smoothly.

Our seaweed extract is carefully infused from Organic seaweeds, hand-harvested from Cornish waters. We use a carefully selected blend of seaweeds, which includes mineral-rich Kombu, Dulse, Nori and Sea Lettuce.
Our Shampoo Bars have a very special formulation for the base; we use a carefully selected blend of nourishing oils and plant butters, which give the shampoo bars their characteristic rich, creamy lather. We make the Seaweed Shampoo Bar with soothing ingredients like marshmallow root oil, Calendula and Comfrey infusions, and Aloe Vera; these will all help to soothe a dry, tight scalp. Cocoa butter and seaweed extracts will help to nourish the hair and scalp, and Vitamin E and olive oil will moisturise the hair and scalp. We also add a drizzle of Tea Tree oil, as it’s valued for it’s anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.

Olive Oil; Used as the basis for the best soaps for millennia, because it contains antioxidants like Vitamins A and E that help repair and renew damaged skin. We think Olive Oil is the best oil to start with in any skin-loving soap.
Cornish honey; Our honey is really local, because it comes from hives close to our workshop. Honey has been used for centuries because of its natural antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Honey also acts as a natural emollient -so it helps to seal moisture into the skin.
Oatmeal; The Romans, Egyptians and Greeks used oat baths; oatmeal has been reputed for millenia to help heal skin ailments. Oats will help to remove excess oil and bacteria from the skin, and gently remove dead skin cells.
Cocoa Butter; Cocoa butter is especially good for dry, itchy or chapped skin, we use it because it’s deeply moisturising and nourishing.
Lavender; We’ve added lots of Lavender essential oil, as well as an infusion from Cornish-grown Lavender leaves to give a slightly more herby scent, because Lavender should be the star ingredient in a Lavender soap.
