We have added a blend of essential oils for their reputed insect-repelling qualities, including a dash of peppermint which is said to kill fleas & ticks by attacking their nervous system. We also use Neem oil (a natural healing & soothing oil from the Neem tree in India) valued as an insect repellent.  We have added Vitamin E & Shea Butter for a shiny coat & healthy skin and Aloe Vera soothes delicate skin. It has a fresh, clean scent heling to neutralise the smell of anything nasty your dog may have rolled in… !

Bug Off soap – an essential gift for dog walkers

Starting with our lovely soap base we add insect-repelling essential oils of Citronella, Lemongrass & Tea Tree. Citronella helps to keep mossies at bay and Lemongrass helps keep sandflies & horseflies away.  We use soothing Aloe Vera to help relieve the itch of insect bites, rashes, windburn and dry skin irritations.  Cocoa butter and Glycerine is added to nourish and moisturise itchy, dry skin. We recommend using this in the shower in the evening.  You really can smell the insect-repelling essential oils on your skin afterwards and, if you can smell them, so can the biting bugs! 90g e bar.

Dog paw barrier balm is packed with moisturising and nourishing ingredients to soften and protect your hound’s paw pads. Use as a protective barrier balm before walking outside. The olive wax we use acts as natural protection to reduce moisture loss and prevent irritants like road salt from touching delicate paw pad skin. We have used a carefully selected blend of essential oils chosen for their healing and soothing properties. We have included nourishing oils, rich in vitamins and minerals such as Wheatgerm, Hempseed, Kukui, Vitamin E together with Shea and Mango butters and soothing Calendula infusion. Hand & Body Lotion with Citronella – a must have gift for dog owners

Hand and Body Lotion with Citronella has natural insect-repelling properties to help ward off biting critters that always seem to be about whilst out walking our pooches. We make it with a base which includes oodles of Cocoa and Shea butter.  It has a light, non-greasy formula making it easily absorbed into the skin. We have added essential oils of Citronella and Lemongrass because they have been used for centuries as insect repellents together with antiseptic Tea Tree. This can be used as a natural, gentle insect repellent which doesn’t contain harmful chemicals, to help deter biting insects like mossies, horseflies, no-see-ums and sandflies. Insect-Repelling Dog Shampoo;

We’ve added a blend of insect-repelling oils, including a dash of peppermint which helps to kill fleas and ticks by attacking their nervous system. Coat Conditioning Oil;

A leave-in oil to add shine and condition to the coat, it will also nourish and moisturise the skin. Formulated with essential oils of Geranium, Lavender and Cedarwood to help soothe dry or irritated skin,  in a blend of  base oils including Macadamia, Evening Primrose, Grapeseed, Wheatgerm and Vitamin E. 50ml bottle.

Paw Pad Butter;

This is an intense moisturiser for really dry or chapped paw pads. Formulated with a blend of deeply nourishing oils and butters, including Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Macadamia Nut Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, and Avocado Oil. Massage a pea-sized scoop into the paw pads to deeply moisturise existing dry, chapped skin, and to prevent further chapping. We recommend that you use a little and often to get maximum benefit. Ensure the butter is absorbed into the skin. Because this is 100% natural and unscented, it’s gentle enough to be used on puppies, nursing and expectant bitches. 10g e slide-lid tin.

Key Ingredients:

Macadamia nut oil:  A protective oil which closely resembles the skin’s sebum. Used to treat minor skin irritations.

Evening Primrose oil: This has been used for centuries to relieve itchiness associated with skin conditions such as eczema. 

Wheatgerm oil: This oil is packed with vitamins and minerals and used widely for its gentle anti-oxidant and regenerative properties.

Grapeseed oil: Light and easily absorbed with mildly astringent and antiseptic qualities.

Calendula infusion: Helps to repair and soothe damaged or irritated skin.

Vitamin E: Because vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant, it helps decrease environmental damage to your dog’s coat. Also it can be useful in treating eczema, mild sunburn, and scars. 

Essential oils: Cedarwood is used for it’s calming and antiseptic properties whilst Geranium is reputed to be antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, especially on dry skin.  Lavender has been valued for centuries for its calming, relaxing and skin-soothing properties.

How to Use our Dog Coat Conditioning Oil:

Use sparingly. Dispense a small amount of oil (about 5ml – you can always add more) into the palm of your hand and massage gently and evenly into your dog’s coat. No need to rinse off because this is a leave-in oil. As it contains essential oils we don’t recommend using it for puppies, nursing or pregnant bitches.

Cocoa Butter; A vegetable fat extracted from the cocoa bean, it’s a wonderful moisturiser for dry, itchy, chapped or sunburned skin.

Shea Butter; Extracted from the nut of the Mangifolia trees which grow wild in the African savannah, this contains several fatty acids which are needed to retain skin moisture and elasticity.

Macadamia Nut Oil; Macadamia oil is a fabulously protective oil with a high absorption rate, which has been used as a healing oil for scars, sunburns, minor wounds and other irritations.

Kukui Nut Oil; An excellent penetrating oil which softens skin and soothes sunburn, chapped skin and other minor skin ailments.

Evening Primrose oil; Used for centuries primarily to relieve the itchiness associated with certain skin conditions (such as eczema and dermatitis).

Avocado oil; A rich source of vitamins A and D, it’s a really effective moisturiser as it penetrates deep into the skin.

Available in two sizes; 60g aluminium tin, or handy 10g pocket-size tin with a slide-lid.

Do not use on broken skin. External use only; try to prevent your dog from licking the butter off before it’s had a chance to fully soak into the skin. Contains nut oils.

Wheatgerm oil; Packed with vitamins and minerals, this oil is used widely for its anti-oxidant and regenerative properties.

Hempseed oil; A light, nourishing oil with a unique blend of essential fatty acids, often used to treat eczema.

Kukui Nut Oil; An excellent penetrating oil, used to soften the skin, and soothe chapped skin and minor skin irritations.

To use the dog paw barrier balm; massage a small amount into the paw pads, allowing the nourishing oils and butters to penetrate the skin (a pea-sized scoop is usually enough to treat all four paws). The olive wax in the balm will remain as a protective layer on the surface of the skin.

How to use the dog shampoo;

Use as a spot shampoo, or as an all over solid shampoo bar. Dampen the fur, and use as you would a soap bar. After use, rinse your dog’s fur well. Avoid the eyes- if product gets into eyes, rinse with plenty of clean water. External use only.

Neem Oil; Valued on the Indian subcontinent as an effective insect repellant.

Peppermint essential oil; An insect repellant essential oil which contains a compound that attacks a flea’s nervous system.

Insect repelling essential oils; Citronella, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, and Cedarwood, which have been used historically to ward off insects.

Aloe Vera; Cooling and soothing.

Shea Butter and Vitamin E; To condition the skin and coat.
