Our rustic, stoneware soap dishes are made for us by hand, by our favourite Cypriot potter- the convivial Ninos, whose pottery studio is in Geroskipou just outside Paphos. He glazes our dishes with whatever colour takes his fancy, so we never know what we’re getting & no two are same!
They’re the perfect size for our soaps (actually, they were designed for our soaps, so they jolly well should fit) & have a small hole in the bottom to let any water escape.
Let us know which soap you would like to match it to, & we’ll pick a dish which compliments the soap.
Our soap dishes are hand-made in Cyprus, whilst our soaps are hand-made in Cornwall. The two countries have traded with one another for many centuries, & ancient clay pots made with Gabbro (a clay found only on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall) have been excavated throughout the Mediterranean region.
